ABOUT FIONA

(SHE/THEY)

Kindness, compassion, empathy, and being non-judgmental are just a few of the many valuable strengths that Fiona brings to her role as a dedicated therapist. She genuinely enjoys building meaningful relationships and providing thoughtful, ongoing support to both individuals and couples she works with. Fiona specializes in assisting clients who are navigating concerns around emotional intimacy, sex, neurodiversity, and matters related to gender and sexual identity. She warmly welcomes and actively celebrates the rich diversity found in sexual orientation, gender identities, and expressions of sexuality. Her areas of particular interest include challenges such as out-of-control and compulsive sexual behaviors, men’s issues, neurodiversity within relationships, mixed orientation relationships, consensual non-monogamy, and working with individuals involved in the sex industry. To deepen her expertise, she has completed additional specialized training in these important areas.

When working together, Fiona emphasizes open communication, ensuring that clients and she discuss their goals, expectations, and the overall therapeutic process right from the start. She firmly believes that the foundation of all secure and healthy relationships is built on five key elements: structure, connection, engagement, challenge, and humor. In her work with clients, Fiona models this approach, creating a safe and supportive environment for growth. Identifying as a Person of Color, neurodiverse, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Fiona is deeply committed to working with marginalized and underrepresented populations. She is especially drawn to therapeutic models that embrace anti-oppressive principles and liberation-focused approaches, aiming to create space for healing and empowerment.

Fiona is trained in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) and RLT (Relational Life Therapy). She also uses Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) for individuals and couples, showing her openness to new treatment methods. Fiona is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) who mentors and supports both Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates.

On a personal note, Fiona enjoys traveling to new places, cooking, and spending time with her life partner, their three children, and their dogs. She firmly believes in the importance of engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment, and she encourages each of her clients to identify and nurture the things that bring happiness and meaning to their own lives.
